Analysis of the latest list of China's top 100 pesticide companiesIssuing time:2024-06-16 21:55 Atthe end of May 2024, the China Crop Protection Industry Association (CCPIA) released the latest Top 100 ChinesePesticide Companies list. This marks the 14th consecutive year that CCPIA haspublished this ranking.
Theranking criteria are based on the pesticide sales revenue of the previous year,independent of net profit, total assets, or other performance or financialindicators. Participation in the ranking is voluntary for companies.
Thetotal pesticide sales revenue for the top 100 companies in 2023 wasRMB261.3 billion (USD36.8 billion), a year-on-year decrease of 20.2%. The decline isattributed to the high pesticide prices in 2022, with a significant drop inoverall pesticide prices in 2023 compared to the high base of 2022. Since 2010,the compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of the top 100 pesticide companies hasbeen 10.3%.
ADAMA has beenranked first for six consecutive years
Over thepast 13 years, six companies have held the top position: ADAMA Ltd. (6 times),Zhejiang Wynca Chemical Group Co., Ltd. (4 times), Nutrichem Laboratory Co.,Ltd. (twice), Nanjing Redsun Co., Ltd. (once), and Hubei Sanonda Co., Ltd.(once).
