Accordingly, due to the relatively high temperature and more rainfalls since March, the wheat planting areas in Southwest China and Changjiang River basin have entered an epidemic of wheat stripe rust, while in North China it has showed up in succession.
On 24 March, 2015, the National Agro-Tech Extension and Services Center (NATESC) released a pest & disease prediction. Accordingly, in 2015:
According to the document newly released by National Agro-Technical Extension and Service Center (NATESC) on 8 Jan., 2015, the accumulated occurrence area infected by pests and diseases is forecasted to be 353 million ha. in China. Rice plant hopper, rice leaf roller, aphis and corn borer would occur widely and severely.
