ICAMA: China's exports of pesticides +20.4% YoY to USD6.8 billion in 2017

According to the Institute for the Control of Agrochemicals, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (ICAMA), China's exports of pesticides made a turnaround in 2017, after the low ebb in 2015-2016. The market prospect is promising!

 

ICAMA adjusts HS codes of some pesticides in 2018

According to information from the Institute for the Control of Agrochemicals, Ministry of Agriculture (ICAMA), it adjusted the commercial codes of some products, which involves one pesticide. Its HS code is adjusted to 29341090 from 29341000, which will be used starting from 1 Jan., 2018. The Release Notices of Pesticide Import and Export Registration Management about the products signed before that date can still declare at the customs within the valid period.

 

ICAMA: 353 new registrations approved in July 2017

In July 2017, a total of 353 new pesticide registrations were approved in China, including 41 for pesticide technical/ TK, according to the Institute for the Control of Agrochemicals, Ministry of Agriculture (ICAMA).

 

ICAMA: Existing pesticide labels can only be used by the end of 2017

On 29 June, 2017, Institute for the Control of Agrochemicals, Ministry of Agriculture (ICAMA) carried on detailed explanation about related pesticide policy from the newly released measure of “Pesticide Label and Instruction Management Method”.

 

ICAMA: -22.9% YoY in pesticides exports in 2016

On 10 May, 2017, the Institute for the Control of Agrochemicals, Ministry of Agriculture (ICAMA) made a reporting namely the Pesticide Registration and Import & Export Analysis at the 4th Analysis Meeting of Economic Operation in Pesticide Industry, a move to show the exports of pesticides from China in 2016.

²  In 2016, the export of China’s pesticides was 1.37 million tonnes, at a value of USD5.6 billion, down 9.1% and 22.9% respectively.

²  In 2016, the import of China’s pesticides was 39,100 tonnes, at a value of USD428 million, down 32.1% and 36.9% respectively.

ICAMA: national-wide investigation of production and sales of 8 pesticides

In June 2016, the Institute for the Control of Agrochemicals, Ministry of Agriculture made a notice, in a move to organise local institutes (provinces/ regions/ municipalities) to investigate into 8 pesticides, including carbendazim, trazine, triazophos, imidacloprid, alachlor, butachlor, metolcarb and dimethacarb. This is aimed at knowing well about their production, sales, use and safety risks, re-assessing them timely after registrations and ensuring the agricultural production safety, agricultural produce quality and safety and ecological environment safety.

 

ICAMA: each province should make work proposal to solve problem of short supply of pesticides for specialty minor crops

On 3 March, 2016, the Institute for the Control of Agrochemicals, Ministry of Agriculture (ICAMA) announced that in 2016, the Ministry of Agriculture will map out a fiscal project to administrate the registrations of pesticides for specialty minor crops, so as to solve the problem of short supply of pesticides for minor crops. Accordingly, every province-level institute for the control of agrochemicals should make proposal for this project, which should be submitted before 10 March.

 

ICAMA collects pesticides for specialty crops

Recently, the Institute for the Control of Agrochemicals, Ministry of Agriculture of China (ICAMA) published the List of Specialty Crops Lacking Pesticides (the List), collecting pesticides for the listed crops to solve the pesticide shortage problem for them.

 

New pesticide technical registration in May 2015

According to statistics of the Institute for the Control of Agrochemicals, Ministry of Agriculture (ICAMA), altogether 36 pesticide technical (including TK) were approved for the registration, not including renewable registrations in May 2015.

 

ICAMA: output and revenue of domestic pesticides reach 3.7 million tonnes and USD48.7 billion in 2014

On 5 March, 2015, the Institute for the Control of Agrochemicals, Ministry of Agriculture of China (ICAMA) released the Brief Analysis of Operation Situation of Domestic Pesticide Industry in 2014, according to which China’s pesticide output was 3,682,000 tonnes and the monthly output in Oct.-Dec. was higher than other months.
