On 6 Jan., 2014, the Development Strategy Seminar for Potato as a Staple Crop (the seminar) was held by the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and the China Seed Association in Beijing.
In 2014, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) released a total of 2 lists of approved pesticide manufacturers, in which new projects of 14 enterprises are approved.
According to statistics of the ICAMA, in 1 Jan. to 31 Dec., 2014, new registrations certificates of pesticide formulations in China involved a total of 121 types of crops. The top 5 crops in terms of number of registrations certificates are rice, corn, cabbage, cucumber and wheat, together accounting for 53.9% of the new registration certificates of pesticide formulations.
In 2014, altogether 17 new pesticide technical were registered in the Institute for the Control of Agrochemicals, Ministry of Agriculture (ICAMA). Specifically, the involving 17 registrants were divided into 2 sides, 7 multinational enterprises and 10 Chinese enterprises.
According to the document newly released by National Agro-Technical Extension and Service Center (NATESC) on 8 Jan., 2015, the accumulated occurrence area infected by pests and diseases is forecasted to be 353 million ha. in China. Rice plant hopper, rice leaf roller, aphis and corn borer would occur widely and severely.
1. Environmental Protection Inspection for Glyphosate (PMIDA)
According to data from the Institute for the Control of Agrochemicals, Ministry of Agriculture (ICAMA), as of 31 Dec, 2014 the number of new registration of pesticide technical (TC) totaled 421 (both TC and TK included, and renewed ones excluded, the same hereinafter) in this year.
According to statistics of the Institute for the Control of Agrochemicals, Ministry of Agriculture (ICAMA), altogether 26 pesticide technical (technical concentrate, TK) were approved for the registration, not including renewable registrations.
According to the public information released by the government of Yongxiu County, Jiangxi Province, in Dec. 2014, the first phase of Zhengbang Bio-chemical's pesticide project, which has a total investment of USD326.51 million, has completed.
On 30 Dec., 2014, the ICAMA released the list of the 40th batch of to-be-registered pesticides in China in 2014 and some relevant information to the public. The list included 82 to-be-registered pesticides, among which there were 16 technical registrations and 66 formulation registrations.
